Two weeks ago Rich Monday Paper showed you which countries topped the 2026 quality of life rankings. This week it shows you what moving there actually costs, from the visa route and the healthcare buy-in to the income you give up while you settle in.

A ranking measures the outcome. It says nothing about the price of admission. The Netherlands sits first in Numbeo's 2026 Mid-Year index, Switzerland fifth, and Oman is tied for third with Denmark, ahead of the United Kingdom, France and Ireland. These are three countries with three of the highest quality of life scores on earth, and getting into each one costs something completely different.
