Your Wellbeing Horoscopes: Sky Map for the Week Starting 21 September 2026
The Sun crosses into Libra at 1.05am BST on Wednesday and the Harvest Moon fills in Aries on Saturday evening, which makes this a sensible week to look at how your own days are divided between light and dark.

Two real events shape this week. The autumn equinox comes at 1.05am BST on Wednesday 23 September, when the Sun crosses into Libra. Three days later, at 5.48pm BST on Saturday 26 September, the Moon is full in Aries, and because it is the full Moon nearest the equinox, it is the Harvest Moon.
There is plenty to look at, though not where you might expect. Venus has dropped out of the evening sky: it sets within 20 minutes of the Sun every night this week, so it is gone before the light is. It is not an evening object at all this week. Saturn takes that role instead. It is too low to bother with at dusk, but by about 9.30pm BST it is a steady point in the east, and it stays up most of the night on its way to its best night of the year in early October. Jupiter and Mars belong to the morning, an hour before sunrise: Mars higher and fainter in the south east, bright Jupiter lower in the east.
The Moon has been filling since the New Moon in Virgo on 11 September, which the last edition followed. This week it fills all the way. For the longer view, our horoscopes for the season from the equinox to the winter solstice cover the whole stretch that opens on Wednesday. As ever, nothing in the sky makes anything happen down here. The sky is the picture, and this week the picture is a scale coming level.
