Your Wellbeing Horoscopes: Sky Map for the Week Starting 7 September 2026

A crescent Moon beside Jupiter before dawn, Venus and Mercury both changing sign on Thursday and a New Moon in Virgo on Friday at 4.27am BST make this the week to reset one small routine.

The week opens with the Moon thinning to a crescent beside Jupiter before dawn and ends with a New Moon in Virgo on Friday 11 September at 4.27am BST, with Venus and Mercury both changing sign on the Thursday in between.

If you are up early on Tuesday or Wednesday, look east about an hour before sunrise. Jupiter is the bright, steady point low over the horizon and the crescent Moon sits beside it. In the evenings Venus is the evening star, low in the west after sunset, and Saturn rises in the east by mid-evening. Full darkness returns by about 9.30pm BST.

The last edition was written under the eclipse of 28 August and the Moon's pass by Saturn, a weekend for naming what needed to change. This week is the one for doing something about it. A New Moon in Virgo, the sign of routines and health, arrives in the same week as Venus moving into Scorpio and Mercury moving into Libra. Nothing in the sky makes any of this happen. The column offers the picture, and this week the picture is a fresh start in the small things.
